Common questions

FMS flight manual

What is a PIREP?

In FMS, a PIREP is a family mood report. It identifies who is being reported, their current status, when it was reported, and who submitted it.

What does ATIS mean in FMS?

ATIS is the Attitude & Temperament Information System—the overview of your family’s latest status reports.

Why does a status show as stale?

FMS marks older information as stale so nobody mistakes an old report for a current one. Submit a new PIREP to refresh it.

Who can see my family’s information?

FMS data is intended for members of your private family group and the service providers needed to operate the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Is FMS an emergency service?

No. FMS does not monitor reports and cannot contact emergency services. If someone may be in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
